    Bought this tape in middle school and somehow perfectly defined my midwesterness . One of the Columbia or Capital mailers you could get like 10 for $1...its the most consistent album over time for me... cheers and thanks for sharing this!!!

    Zen Arcade, it's crazy. It's hard to get into, at least for me. But being from Minneapolis, being a Bob Mould fan, liking Mpls punk like the mats, and being from this era...well, I felt it was mandatory not only to listen to it, but to listen enough to get into it. Which I did. I have two Zen Arcades...one is all covers of the songs on Zen Arcade.

    Late night, MTV, 120 minutes, some time in high school, late 80s. I sat transfixed, didn’t know what to make of this but needed more. At that time there wasn’t a lot that sounded like this.

    Somebody had mentioned that MTV alternative compilation with this song in 1991..Just felt like running a firehouse on those damatians at the local fire department really bland college radio wordered if any employees including Husker Du's road crew overdosed on drugs or something since then
